***Media Advisory: Streaming Update*** Press Conference TODAY: SB 1021 Hunting and Fishing Exemption for Youth with Life-Threatening Illnesses

A livestream of this afternoon’s press conference will be available via Facebook here.

IRVINE, Calif. – Senator Steven Choi, Ph.D. (R-Irvine) will be joined by supporters in announcing the introduction of Senate Bill 1021, Hunting and Fishing Exemption for Youth with Life-Threatening Illnesses, sponsored by Field of Dreams. This bill will authorize the California Fish and Game Commission to establish a program that grants hunting and fishing opportunities for youth (age 17 and under) who are currently fighting life-threatening illnesses, and youth who have lost a parent in service to the state or country.

This will create unforgettable experiences for youth with critical diagnoses and their families, bring awareness to the vital role hunting plays in managing California’s wildlife resources, and aid in the recruitment of the next generation of our state’s declining conservationists.

When: Today, February 13th, 2026
Time:  4:00 PM
Where: 3200 El Camino Real, Irvine, CA (North End of Building)
